Coconut oil is extracted from the white pulp of coconut.

It contains an extraordinary saturated fat called medium-chain triglycerides.

Are saturated fats unhealthy? Well, yes.

However medium-chain triglycerides are saturated fats that are not absorbed in the body.

They are broken down as soon as they get to the body.

They are broken down into different constituents that are beneficial to the body.
